“The Danish government has just released a bail-out package for the employees
If you are employed at a private company and have been worried about being dismissed due to the health crisis – then you might find this news helpful.
The government and the labor market partners have landed an agreement where they want to secure that as few as possible will loose their job in this situation.
The agreement covers companies who are planning to fire more than 30% of their employees or are planning to fire more than 50 employees due to the Coronacrisis. What exactly will happen then? The government pays 75% of your salary and the company covers the rest. There is a maximum coverage – this means that you will as a maximum get 23.000 from the government, and if you are paid by the hour the maximum is 26.000 from the government.
To be included in this deal you as an employee will have to hand over five days of accrued holiday.
Privatansatte lønmodtagere med truslen om en fyreseddel hængende over hovedet på grund af coronakrisen vil få dækket 75 procent af lønnen af staten. Den sidste del af lønnen skal virksomhederne betale.
The Minister of Finance, Nicolai Wammen expects that the Danish Parliament will approve this agreement very soon.
The agreement will have a retroactive effect as it will come in effect from March 9 until June 9.”
